How to reach the 2008 egg lobby
- Complete the Hunt’s 2006 and 2007 stages.
- Interact with the Mysterious Cube so you are sent to the 2008 lobby.
- Find Person299 near the Rocket Arena portal and talk to them to start the egg challenge.
- Equip the paintgun (also called a paintball / Paintgame tool in community guides).
- Paint all 10 eggs, confirm 10/10, then continue through the Rocket Arena portal for KOs.
If 2008 is locked, you are not missing an egg — you still owe earlier Hunt years.
Critical rule: you must shoot the eggs
Walking near an egg is not enough. You must fire the paintgun at the egg until it counts. If your tracker does not rise, reposition, make sure the paintgun is actually equipped, and shoot again. This single rule causes most “bug” reports.
Visual recolor quirk: some eggs never visibly change color even when the Hunt counter advances. Trust the counter, mark your Egg Checklist, and move on. Ship and bar eggs are commonly fussy — rejoin if shots refuse to register (Hunt Troubleshooting).
All 10 egg locations
Use this order as a clean loop from Person299. You can paint in any sequence; the numbering matches common wiki routing, not a forced quest ID.
Egg 1 — Behind the Year3 Challenge board
From Person299, look for the Year3 Challenge board nearby. The first egg sits behind that board. Circle the signage and paint the egg immediately so you do not forget the “easy” one.
Egg 2 — Pirate ship near the sail
Head to the pirate ship in the water / dock area tied to the lobby’s nautical set dressing. Climb aboard and check near the sail (front sail area). Paint it before you leave the ship so you are not forced into a second swim later. If this egg feels stuck, shoot again from a clear angle or rejoin.
Egg 3 — Top of the blue spiral staircase
Find the large blue spiral staircase. Climb to the top. The egg waits on the upper landing. After painting, look out over the lobby to orient toward the forts.
Egg 4 — Red fort, ground left
Move to the red fort. On the ground level, check the left side for an egg tucked against the fort footprint. Stay alert for other Hunt players crowding the same corner.
Egg 5 — Red fort, upper top-left
Still at the red fort, go upper level and search the top-left area. This is a vertical sibling to Egg 4 — many players grab the ground egg and leave without climbing.
Egg 6 — Underground music venue / cafe (bar)
Near the red fort, look for holes / openings that drop into an underground music venue or cafe. Inside, check the bar area for the egg. If you only scout the fort exteriors, you will miss this one. Bar eggs are frequently reported as buggy — stationary paint shots, then rejoin if needed.
Egg 7 — Behind / under the giant Trowel (right of the portal)
Return toward the Rocket Arena portal and find the oversized Trowel prop to the right of that portal. Search behind and under the giant Trowel — one low camera angle is not enough. Paint it while you are already portal-adjacent so your mental map stays clean.
Egg 8 — Snowy biome top by a tree
Enter the snowy biome and climb / path to the top area near a tree. Paint the elevated snow egg, then prepare for the western snow route.
Egg 9 — Blue fort, upper left (like Egg 5)
At the blue fort, mirror the red-fort logic: go upper and check the left side, similar positioning to Egg 5’s top-left idea. If you cleared red fort heights, repeat the same search pattern on blue.
Egg 10 — Western snowy biome, back rocky platform
From the snowy region, push to the western snowy biome and go to the back rocky platform. This is a common last egg because it sits off the main fort sightseeing path. Shoot it, then immediately check your counter.
Fast clear tips
- Keep the paintgun equipped for the entire lobby loop (Controls, Mobile Tips).
- After each shot, glance at the counter before running to the next landmark — not the egg’s paint job.
- Clear both red-fort eggs (4 and 5) on one visit; clear blue-fort upper (9) with the same “upper left” habit.
- Do underground (6) right after red fort so the holes are still in sight.
- Finish with western rocks (10) so you do not backtrack across snow twice.
- Mobile players should stop moving before each paint shot to avoid wasted taps.
After 10/10 eggs
- Talk / turn in with Person299 if the lobby still expects a hand-in step on your session.

Counter stuck: You likely touched an egg without painting it, missed Egg 6 underground / Egg 10 western rocks, or need a rejoin after ship/bar fusses.
No visual recolor: Still check the counter. Unchanged looks do not always mean failure.
No paintgun: Re-talk to Person299 and confirm the tool is equipped in the hotbar.
Portal but no credit later: Eggs and KOs are separate objectives. Finishing only one side will not complete the Warrior / jetpack path.
Wrong place: Casual play in the Build N Blox remake is not a substitute for the Hunt 2008 lobby egg route (Remake vs Classic).
